Show Sunday, January 2. This is Fast Day so Dr and I attended Sunday School and meeting. We had a nice dinner with Junior and family. We called at the home of Mrs Cortez who died last week & will be buried today. Her daughter Hellen is writing a story about Drs Mother. This evening we went to the Tabernacle to hear a Stake Musical programme by the Mutuals. It was very fine about 200 took part. Cleone & her trio played. We called to see the remains of Isabel Douglas Boyle. She was a very fine women and a good looking lady. She and I have worked togather many years in the same organizations. Had a special delivery letter from Avon. She was spending New Years with Mrs Smart Junes Mother. Monday, January 3. I have put away all Christmas decorations. This afternoon I attended the funeral service of Mrs Bell Boyle. Pres. George Browning, Nathan Tanner & John Hooper were the speakers. All were very good. Elizabeth Thomas came home with me we had a nice lunch and then visited for an hour or two. She is a very dear friend of mine. Dr and I spent the evening reading. |
