Wednesday, February 23. Prescott Ariz. Left St George at nine A.M. and arrived at Las Vegas at noon. Drove over Boulder Dam Bridge after spending some time viewing its wonders. Very wonderful. Ate lunch in our car to save time. Arrived at Prescott about six thirty called on Dr Will Baker 7 family. Had a nice dinner at Hassayampa Hotel where we took rooms for the night. Spent the evening with Dr Wm Baker & Ethal. A nice time. They came down to the Hotel for awhile. A lovly day and all have enjoyed the trip so far. Dr wrote to Junior I wrote to Mae Cozzens. Retire at 11 P.M. all quite tired traveled Cleone did most of the driving 353 mi today. Thursday, February 24. 308 mi today. Phoenix Ariz. We left Prescott at nine A.M. enjoyed the ride to Phoenix also the city when we arrived. We called to seemy mothers brother Oren Merrill and his wife who live in Phoenix. He is now 83 years old and is bright and quite able to get around cut the lawn etc. I feel I shall never see hm again. We had lunch at the Biltmore a most beautiful Hotel. One of the nicest I have ever seen. Our lunch cost us 10.50 for the four of us. Food & service splendid. We drove out to see some fine citrus orchards and called on my aunt. Mary Janes mothers sister. She is well 80 yr old & works in the Mes Temple every day. Royal Dr & Cleone went thro Temple continue over.
