Show Monday, July 25. Hot. Junior took three friends in his plane to Bear Lake for a swim back by noon. Richs curl. I did not go down to see the parade it being just the same as Saturday and very poor except several Bands that played well & deserved credit for taking part when it is so warm. Rich Brewer is five years old today. Myrene gave him a nice party and he was very happy. He is a lovly blond has a very curly head. Junior took Dr, Mrs Ida Treseder and I out to the Air Show. It was very interesting. Tex Rankins looked as the worlds greatest Stunt flyer held a very large crowd spell bound by flying up side down. Tuesday, July 26. Rather quiet after one week of celebration of Pioneer Days. The sense of opinion is that it was too long a time. Mayor Harmon Peery will no doubt start advertising right away what we can expect for next year at this time. I feel that the Wild West programme is not tipical of our Pioneer Days ninty years ago and that ideals are considerably lowered that it brings too many undisirable people in town etc and do not approve of Rodeo on Sunday or dancing on Sunday evening. Attended R.S. meeting. |
