Show ALARMING UTAHS state board of health has sent out a special bulletin urging the people to cooperate in the fight on one of the social diseases. It is estimated 100,000 persons are killed each year by this one disease. That is alarming, as the mortality is far beyond the deaths on our highways which have become so distressing. Most encouraging though is the declaration that the surest thing is the fight against the disease can be won. Scandinavian countries have done it and Great Britain is doing it. What is highly disturbing is that the affliction is spreading in this country at the rate of 500,000 cases a year. It is as though a mighty conflagration were sweeping over the land, threatening to wipe out our civilization.
