On this trip we dropped down about 2,000 fett altitude and then up to about 11,000 feet with all the changes of the tropics at these various altitudes; a wonderful day as we came back, we passed appoint in the road out about 25 miles from Mexico City where there is on the side of the road, sixteen crosses where a general and 15 of his leading men and one little boy were shot while trying to Escape in recent fighting. At Cholula, Indian Market this City of 15,000 has 256 Churches and a Beautiful Cathedral. Also seven miles away the beautiful Cathedral of Puebla and a wonderful convent. The day south to Xochimilco floating gardens in the forenoon the ride on the Gondolas accompanied by lovely music, surrounded by small canoes loaded with flowers, paddled by pretty indian girls is an experience never to be forgotten and I want to go back again.
