It is devoted to reading, conversation, and dictation, and completes the study of elementary German grammar. Five quarter hours. GERMAN 3. Intermediate German. Consists of reading, composition, and conversation, and continues vocabulary development, active and passive. Five quarter hours. GERMAN 4. Intermediate German. Reviews German grammar and continues class and collateral reading, composition, and conversation. Five quarter hours. GERMAN 5. Advanced German. Five quarter hours. Spanish SPANISH 1. Elementary Spanish. Training in pronunciation and elementary syntax, preparing the student to comprehend written and oral Spanish. Five quarter hours. Declensions, conjugations, and other elementary principles of grammar are studied and assimilated through extensive reading. Five quarter hours. LATIN 2. Elementary Latin. A continuation of Latin 1. LATIN 3. Elementary Latin. Extensive reading of easy Latin to develop the vocabulary and a feeling of Latin constructions. Latin words are associated with their English derivities. Prerequisites: One unit of high school Latin, or Latin 2. Five quarter hours. LATIN 4. Cicero. Includes the reading of several orations and the study of Roman political and social history of Cicero's time. Five quarter hours. LATIN 5. Virgil. Three books of the Aeneid are read, and a study is made of the scansion. Five quarter hours. LATIN 6. Virgil. Three books of the Aeneid are read, and a special study is made of the mythology.
