Majors in Chemical, Mining, Metallurgical, and Geological Engineering; Majors in Fuel and Ceramic Technology; and Majors in Geology and Mineralogy take Chemistry 6 in place of Political Science. ***A Chemical Engineering or Mineral Industries student should take an approved elective in place of Engineering 2. ****A student not presenting for entrance Advanced Algebra, Solid Geometry, or Trigonometry should complete these courses the Freshman Year.
