SS TO THE CLASS OF 1970: As president of the Associated Alumni of Weber State College it gives me great pleasure to welcome the class of 1970 into the association. You will find as the years go by that you are still considered a part of this college even though your student years are past. You will still have an interest in what the people who will be students in the years to come are doing with “your” college, and as your experiences change your attitude toward the institution will also change. Your ability to see the programs and problems of this college from the outside will be very valuable to the college. It is primarily your ability to assist us with our programs and problems that we solicit as new alumni. America’s colleges and universities, as we are coming to realize more each day are not solely the property of the resident 7 student body, but are of considerable interest to the former student, the community and with increased communications, the ~ nation. We wish to congratulate you on completing the requirements for graduation and wish you well in your chosen fields, but we 7 ask also that you remember the college still needs your assistance in improving its programs and in pursuing excellence in every department. As young alumni you may feel that we only require or request financial assistance from you, this is 7 definitely not the case. The greatest aid you can give now is your advice as our most recent graduates, on improving and © enlarging our programs.
