The purpose of this organization is to develop in the student an appreciation for ensemble singing and a mastery of the same. This organization will not only tour the state once each year, but will also make one tour to the coast. Prerequisite: Voice examination. Two quarter hours. Music 22. Vocal Combinations. Trios, quartettes, sextettes, etc. Students may take this course by permission of the teacher only, and shall be required to sing at school functions. One quarter hour. In conjunction with Music 20, 21, 22 a Musical Comedy and an Opera will be developed. Music 30. Band. Provides study and training in band instrumentation. Students are required to play at all public appearances of the band. One quarter hour. Music 31. Orchestra. Provides training and experience in a wide range of orchestral work. Students are required to play at all public appearances of the orchestra. Two quarter hours. Music 32. String Chamber Music. This consists of trios, quartettes, etc. Students may take this course by permission of the teacher only, and shall be required to play at school functions. One quarter hour. Music 33. Brass and Woodwind Combinations. This consists of trios, quartettes, sextettes, etc. Students may take this course by permission of the teacher only. They shall be required to play at school functions. One quarter hour. Private Instruction Courses The following subjects are given in private lessons only.
