Botany majors getting a B.S. will meet the requirements for a minor in Chemistry . » Grade Requirements: An overall GPA of 2.00 in all courses required for this major. Refer to page 35 for general grade requirements for graduation. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120-126 credit hours is required for graduation - required within the major are 84-88 credit hours for a B.A. and 84-92 credit hours for a B.S. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 3000 and above) - required within the major are 26-37 upper division credit hours for a B.A. and 29-38 upper division credit hours for a B.S. Advisement Majors are encouraged to consult with an advisor annually. Contact the Botany department (801-626-6174). Admission Requirements Declare your program of study (refer to page 18). There are no special admission or application requirements for this program. General Education Refer to pages 35-40 for either Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts requirements. The following courses required for the Botany major will also satisfy general education requirements: Botany LS/SI1105, Chem PS/SIl 110 or PS1210, and Phsx PS/SI1010 or PS2010/2010L. This minor should be in Zoology. » Grade Requirements: An overall GPA of 3.00 is required for admission to the Teacher Education program. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120-126 credit hours is required for graduation - 57 of these are required within the major. A total of 40 upper division hours is required (courses numbered 3000 and above) - 27-30 are required within the major.
