Show Administration Vocational & Applied Technology Programs Director: Paul G. Butterfield Location: Administration Building, Room 304 Telephone Contact: Margaret Andersen 626-6067 Vocational and technical education includes those vocational programs of less than a baccalaureate degree. To be employable in 1, 2 or 3 years consider one of the vocational programs which prepares the student with a technical skill, license, certificate, or diploma upon completion of the program. Vocational and Applied Technology Program descriptions follow the descriptions for bachelors degree programs in each departmental listing. Four-year bachelor degree programs are also options for vocational students at the University who change their aspirations and opt to continue in school rather than seek employment at the conclusion of their vocational/technical training. A ladder concept is often built into bachelor degree programs which allows stop-out points for employment in a skill area. All Weber State University student support services are available to students who enroll in vocational programs. Such services are designed to help students select appropriate career goals, maximize their learning potential, gain hands-on experience, and achieve successful employment. The Vocational and Applied Technology programs offered at the University are listed below. The type of degree and the specific requirements for each program are outlined in departmental listings. See Index for specific page references.
