Show OBITUARY OF Mrs. Wonzie Lee Tillman Nelson Sister Nelson was born to Ardenious and Myrtis Rancifer Til 1]man on September 22, 1930 in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She grew up there and on February 12, 1947, married Jessie Nelson in McCall Creek, Mississippi. Her family later moved to Goden and she united with the New Zion Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. Sister Nelsol held membership in the Nurses Guild, Charity Eight Club, and Doves Civic Club. She recently retired from the St. Benedicts Hospital staff where she worked as an emergency medical technician. She died September 11, 1988. Surviving are her husband of Goden; a son, Thomas Nelson, Ogden; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, Luther Tillman, Ogden; Joe L. Tillman and Eddie Tillman of Clearfield; Mrs. C. W. (Dorothy) Holston and Joyce Frye, both of Ogden; Mrs. Lowell (Addie) Norling and Shirley G. Tillman, of Oakland, California. She is also survived by an aunt, Mrs. Luner Woods, Ogden. She was preceded in death by son. It is well with Sister Nelson, for her life was good spirits; she was a happy person and seemed minute of life. She seemed never to be happier with her family and a running over with to enjoy every than when she was sharing friends. She and has was a good enighbor, an excellent co-worker, a loving mother devoted wife, and an inspiring counselor to her family. She worked hard and now she has gone to be at rest. |
