Show Obituary Herman Jones Sunset 08/06/1921 Sunrise 01/09/2018 The Master conductor called “All Aboard,” Tuesday evening January8, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Herman Jones, climbed aboard peacefully for his final train ride. Herman was the fourth of nine children born to David (Nook) Jones and Allie Tillman on August 6, 1921, in Heflin, Louisiana, where he was reared and educated. 1n 1940, he relocated to Ogden, Uta h. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, they have seen much of the United States and enjoyed several cruises. His greatest joy was his family; he was able to provide all of them with treasured memories of times together. He taught us all the gift of love. He is survived by his wife, daughters, Gloria Jean Walls, Debra L. Taylor of Ogden, UT; Linda Craft of Dallas, TX; Katherine (Kevin) Winters of San Antonio, TX, Jean Sawyer, Omaha, NE; 18 grandkids; 19 great-grandkids, and three great-great-grandkids; one sister, Ida Cash; sister-in-law Ann Tarrant and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one child; his parents; five brothers and three sisters. Thanks to the staff at South Ogden Post-Acute, for the love and care they showed Herman for the past 18 months.
