Darnell Green » x Darnell was born March 18th, 1954 in Ogden, Utah to Esther and Thelma (Todd) Green. Darnell graduated from Ogden High School. While attending school, he qualified to play basketball his sophomore, junior, and senior year in the Utah State Basketball Tournament. During his senior year he qualified to play basketball for the All State Basketball Tournament. He started his career at Morton/Thiokol Inc where he became a Forman, before leaving to move to Sioux City, IA in 1991. Darnell and Shari (Lightner) were married September 23, 1995. He worked as a youth counselor at West Middle School and retired from the Woodbury County Juvenile Detention Department, where he worked from July 29, 1994 to March 31, 2016. In retirement he discovered a love for home DIY projects. He enjoyed old R&B music and spending time with friends and family on the patio, where he graciously gave out words of wisdom and life knowledge. He loved his family and friends. Darnell was a beloved husband, father, grandfather. great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
