Show Eddie “Big T” Tillman Sunrise - June 2, 1938 — Sunset - March 26, 2019 Eddie “Big T” Tillman, 79 passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his home. Eddie was born June 2, 1939 to Mr. Ardenious and Myrtis (Rancifer) Tillman in Quentin, Mississippi. He moved to Utah with his parents and family in 1953. : unit. Eddie graduated from Davis High School class of 1959 and was a candidate for a BS degree at Weber State University. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame at both Davis enn High and Weber State. He honorably served in the United States Army, special forces He retired as Recreation Specialist from Clearfield Job Corps, Clearfield, Utah. Eddie was married in 1965 and to this union two daughters were born Cynthia Michelle (deceased) and Chrissandra Tillman; he was later divorced from their mother. Eddie met the love of his life Lelean “Jackie” Belnap in January 1977 and they shared 42 year of life together until his death. Eddie loved sports, basketball being his favorite. One of his greatest joys was having VIP access to Weber State University Basketball games. He was coach “Big T” of the Clearfield Job Corps team during his time there and after his retirement, he became “Big T” of the community and multiple city recreation including coaching and refereeing all over Utah. Eddie loved everyone he encountered; once you met him, he was your friend and would remember you. He was great mentor to many young men, encouraging them to succeed in life. He loved the “Jazz”; he attended all his grandson Jeremy, his nephews and nieces’ sports activities. | Eddie’s second favorite sport was fishing, which he enjoyed with his family and friends. He has the best fish stories, especially when the witnesses were not around. Eddie’s best sport was the love he had for his family; he enjoyed the holiday’s where he would get to visit and eat until his heart was content, especially if his sister Dot and niece Tricia were cooking. He is survived by his life partner LeJean Belnap; his children, Chrissandra Tillman & grandson Trey, Ogden; Cindy (Jeff) Watters, Taylorsville; Susan Rushton, Ogden; Stacie Rushton, Kimberly,ID; Brandon (Erin) Belnap, Day Break, UT; Jeremy (Celeste) - grandchildren Micah and Maili Rushton, Layton, UT. His (Lowell) siblings: Norling, Dorothy Syracuse; Holston, Joyce Ogden; Frye, Joe Ogden; Tillman, Sunset; Shirley J. (LeRoy) Addie M. Walker, Richmond, CA; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cynthia, his brother Luther Tillman and sister Wonzie L. Nelson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 12019 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Roy, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and prior to services on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the same location. LE eT) |
