Show Roy Lee Holston March 15, 1949 ~ February 23, 2018 (age 68) Roy Lee Holston Click here to listen to the funeral recording. lt is with great sadness that the family of Roy Lee Holston announces his passing on Friday, February 23, 2018, at Washington Terrace Center, South Ogden, Utah. Roy was born on March 15, 1949 in Ogden, Utah to Bobbie Holston Sr. and Dorothy L. Holston. The family relocated to Ohio in 1953 where he graduated from Mid-View High School, Elyria Ohio. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1971, serving as an Assault Boat Engineer during the Vietnam conflict. He worked for U.S. Steel in Ohio and was a member of the Operator Engineer Union. Roy is survived by his children, Troy (Karen) Holston of Ohio, Michael (Kaerina) Holston of Texas, Dorothy Holston Nelson of Ohio, LaTonya Lacey of Ohio; siblings Thomas (Berna) Holston, Bobbie (Kim) Holston, Helen Reeves, Betty Washington, Kathy (Lewis) Madere, Sharon Jackson, Rodney Lynn Jackson, Debra and Joyce. Also, survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Delores; his parents Bobbie and Minnie Holston and Dorothy L. and Luther Jackson and his brother Randy. The family would like to thank the staff of Washington Terrace Care Center for their out pouring of love and support they gave Roy. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. with a viewing prior from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. |
