Show PRE-SEASON ACTION Warriors, Scots Win Pre-Season Contests East High School of Salt Lake City fell victim to some fine Weber High shooting last night as the Warriors rolled to their sixth straight victory, 67-48. : It was a surprisingly easy victory for Weber against one of the better teams of Region Three. There was little doubt as to the outcome after the first few minutes of play when Weber broke the Leopards backs. In another game here last - night, Ben Lomond came through again as it handed the Tooele Buffaloes a 55-50 defeat here in Ogden. | Weber lost one of its top scorers, Butch Rhees, in the opening quarter with an ankle sprain, but even his loss didn’t seem to slow down the Weber scoring express. Dave _kept front Sarlo -ed 10 Parkinson the as had and and Jack Sarlo Warriors well out in Parkinson hit 21 and 20. Mike Debloois addFred Cox finished with nine. Weber held a 61-31 advantage with six minutes remaining, but lost DeBloois and Cox on personal fouls, and with these two went a lot of board strength. The Leopards scored 17 points in those final six minutes. Parkinson did a great job on defense with his rebounding and blocking shots. He batted no less than 10 shots down. Weber jumped to a quick 17-6 lead and extended the margin to 22-11 at the end of the first quarter. By the end of the half they were ahead, 43-24.
