These rare and beautiful antiques made from the horn of the cattle during (the early days of Scotland are a priceless asset to brary. Tip O’ The Tam to Veann Bing/ham for winning the local level in the United Nations speech contest. Veann, with Robert Shafer and Frances Hall, represented Ben Lomond. The contestants spoke on the “United Nations.” A straight A student Veann traveled to Salt Lake City yesterday to compete for the state win. The winner of the State contest will travel to New York City to participate in the National Contest. Congratulations again, Veann, and Good Luck! Ben Lemond‘s debate teams is going to State.. From the Regional debate meet, B. L. had two winning teams which qualified for state competition. Best of luck to Frank Wohl, Shana Day; Kathy Hall and Janet Pompleton. Ben Lomond and Ogden “‘buried the hatchet’ Friday night at the annual ROTC Cadet Hop. The dance, held at Ogden High, featured exhibitions on the art of judo by teams from both schools; and sidelight, and weapons were displayed demonstrated. Another ROTC note: Cadet Neil Radabough, son of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell F. Christensen, was selected B. L. Cadet of the Month. A mem- of scholastic and leadership ability. Scots played host to the Martians Thursday, as the sophomores presented their assembly. Scenery, lighting and a high grade of talent made the production a real hit. Congratulations to officers Mike Pretti, Sandra Greenwood and Roberta Hogan for a job well done! You're a great class, Sophomores, and an asset to Ben Lomond. Keep up the good work. |
