Show End-of Year? Scots Find Sound Proof By Judy Hodson It’s nearing the end of the school | year and proof is the fact that Girls’ State representatives have been, chosen. Of the 16 girls selected from| a field of 39, three delegates were| chosen along with three alternates.| The girls were picked for schol- arship, activity, personality, and| the reason for which they wanted to. | attend Girls’ State. Linda Bailey, Sherry Wasuita, and | Kay Parker will represent Ben Lo-| mond at the annual Girls’ State. Alternates are Veann Bingham, Lyn- | da LaBrecque and Carolyn Read. Congratulations! Another evidence of the coming end of the: year is the week of final campaigning for student body officers. Starting tomorrow, campaign managers for the finalists will campaign with posters, pin-on buttons and other original ideas to gain voters for their candidates. Scots will attend the nominating assembly Thursday and then visit the polls Friday to vote for their favorites. Students will also choose officers for the Boys’ and Girls’ associations. The biggest event of last week was the annual Ben Lomond fashion show featuring articles of clothing made and modeled by students themselves. With the modeling portions of the program “complete, mothers and daughters journeyed to the cafeteria where they enjoyed refreshments. The cafeteria featured decorations of pink, red and white crepe paper streamers and balloons, with a decorated table displaying some of the ‘“‘goodies’” made in the foods classes.
