Show MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 1967 3 THE MEET THE SCOTS OTC Shot Pe. HIGHLANDER By PETER GILLINS oF What a Cut The other day my dad yelled at me: “Why don’t you get a haircut? You look like a bum.” “But, Dad, a haircut costs two bucks.” Now there are lots of things that I can do with two bucks that are more important than getting a haircut. With two bucks I can. well . . . With the agility of a magician the barber tossed his sheet around me and flipped hair in my eyes. “How would you like your hair cut?” “Trim the sides and take a little off the top.” After he had been hacking away for about five minutes he asked me two more vital questions. “Want your sides trimmed?” i MIKE - GARRARD Usually seen with skis on his size 13 gym shoes and driving a big Yamaha or a mean Volkswagen, Mike is a great addition to the senior class. Despite some of his nutty ideas (like wearing suspenders to school), Mike is an excellent student. ALMA FOWLER Alma Fowler, a very dedicated Brankin, shows her talents in many varied activities. Rated as one of the top debaters, her goal is to rate with the seniors. Serving as an alternate Bonnie Lassie, Alma protests sleeping on the Bonnie Lassie bus and other historic obstacles. BYRON STEPHENS One of Ben Lomond’s unsung heroes (especially during football season) is Byron Stephens. Byron is a great all-around athlete and student, a tough combination to beat. His activity has really boosted the spirit of 67 Fifteen for the “Vah.’’ “Any off the Cheerleaders top?” “Voah.’”’ __ ae I wish someone could tell me why all barbers have five or six electric clippers hanging neatly on the wall and they always By JANET ANDERSON use a dull pair of scissors that pull the hairs out one by one The degree of spirit that a instead of cutting them off.
