Show FOREWORD PROSPECTIVE student intelligently asks of a college today: What does your institution offer that will help me to solve my everyday living problems and find myself in the complex society of which I am a part? Is your personnel engaged to guide and teach me instead of the subject? Is your college one in which I may discover my life's work and develop my whole personality? Does it afford abundant opportunity for enriched living in a wholesome environment where friend ship is fostered and educational fellowship realized? Is your program flexible enough to meet my individual and social needs? Is it adjusted to the needs of my particular community? Does it stress vocational as well as professional and cultural training for high school graduates and adults? Does it maintain standards for broad democratic education, for social understanding as well as for scholarship? With a sincere desire to answer such vital inquiries the administrators of Weber College have prepared this catalogue. The statement of their five-fold junior college purpose, and the program designed to accomplish it, follow throughout the pages. They invite investigators, both students and parents, to read this information addressed to them and to visit the college where their further questions may be more satisfactorily met, and where the statement of their needs will in turn help to formulate a future program more to their interest in Weber College, their institution, fast becoming known as the "People's College." |
