During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show SATURDAY, JAN. 28, 1893 A raw cold day a little rain I attended DaCostas clinic at Penn Hospital Visited one of my patients and discharged her; so I am through with all of them. A paper from home Nothing special. This evening Dr. S Weir Mitchell gave a very fine lecture to the students of the Jeff. College, on The Life of the Young doctor The house was filled and his lecture much appreciated by all. The most of the Faculty were present and Prof. DaCosta was out. SUNDAY, JAN. 29, 1893 A wet dreary day We did not get up very early and have not been out much to-day. I wrote to Mother and read some. Went down to the Post office, but there was no mail Read during the evening and retired about 10 p.m. |
