Show Montpelier SUNDAY, JULY 23, 1893 Did not get up very early and consequently did not go to Sabbath School. Neglected going to church in the afternoon Went to Montpelier in afternoon, Mira and I went down to Mr. & Mrs Andersons where she practiced a song, after which we had a ride up the canyon: Ate supper with Mira: We spent the evening together at her home and had a very enjoyable time. Stopped for the night at Cozzens Montpelier MONDAY, JULY 24, 1893 It did not rain here and is very dusty. The bowery is built up in the canyon 1 miles and the Exercises or Celebration were held up there Programme. Music by Brass Band Speeches by Ed Burgoyne; J. C. Rich (orator of day); James Holmes Dr.; D. Hix; Mr. Patton. Song. Miss Cozzens & Mrs. Anderson Recitation Mrs Anderson Song. Messrs. French, Wallace, Bowen and Anderson. Singing by choir Garves ect in afternoon. Pic-nic. We came home for dinner and did not go up the canyon in the afternoon Spent afternoon with Mira at home A very nice party at night in new school building. |
