In addition to the courses below a student may opt to create his/ her honors project through the completion of AT 4800. a. AT 3200 b. AT 3300 or AT 3301 c. AT 4100 or 4101 d. AT 4200 or 4201 e. AT 4600 B. Complete one (1) of the following a. Presentation of scholarly work from requirement # 4) from above at a local, state, or national forum (e.g., Weber State University Undergraduate Research Symposium and Celebration, Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, & Letters). b. Submission of scholarly work from requirement # 4) from above for public/professional dissemination (e.g., professional journal, Weber State University Ergo). c. Completion of community service by engaging in 50 hours of service learning involvement related to the students desired professional program (i.e., physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, medicine) or to the betterment of the community. This would include service at the Ogden Rescue Mission, Special Olympics, and GOAL, to name a few. Students who have not completed their General Education requirements are strongly encouraged to fulfill them with Honors General Education courses. Health Promotion Health Promotion Major bachelor's degree (bs) Also refer to the Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions for Health Promotion Major requirements. Degree awarded is Health Services Administration with emphasis in Health Promotion. » Program Prerequisite: Acceptance into the program (see Admission Requirements in the next column). » Minor: Not Required. » Grade Requirement: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable), in addition to a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation - 53-55 of these are required within the major. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses number 3000 and above) - a minimum of 37 of these is required within the major. Advisement Students are encouraged to meet with a faculty advisor annually for course and program advisement. The HPHP department advisement coordinator will serve as the academic advisor prior to admission to the program, and will assist with advisement through completion of the program of study.
