Show Cheney, Wash SATURDAY, SEPT. 9, 1893 This is Utahs day at the Worlds Fair and a grand time is going on. At noon to-day Mrs Grover Cleveland gave birth to a daughter in the White House at Washington D.C. Prest. Cleveland and the whole nation expected a boy, but were disappointed. A fire in Spokane to day. Nothing special Mamie went out in the country to stay until Monday morning Cheney Wash. SUNDAY, SEPT. 10, 1893 Not very warm today Wrote to Mira this morning; also, wrote to William Rich. After dinner, Mary Ann, Ethel and I went out to Fish Lake, the Race track and up to the Reservoir and around town. Had a very pleasant drive. We had fresh fish for dinner to day and enjoyed them very much I received a letter from Mira this afternoon after I had written to her and posted the letter Spent the evening at home. |
