Surviving are one daughter and one son, Gilda B. Franklin, Ogden; Joseph Woodward Ill, Salt Lake City; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Fletcher D. Cottrell, Tacoma, Wash.; Wesley Cottrell and Richard Cottrell Jr., both of Ogden; Clerissa Griffin, and Charlena King, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and Georgia — Turner, Ogden. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blivd., with the Rev. Leander Coates of the Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment in the Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Ave., Ogden. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church where she was a church mother. She had served as a missionary for the church and had been active in many charitable and service activities in the church. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She had lived in San Antonio, Texas prior to moving to Ogden. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William “Bill” (Constance P.) Brinkley, Washington Terrace; Dorothy “Dotty” _ E. Beasley, Ogden; and 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Threadgill Turbin, and Effie Applewhite, both of San Antonio, Tex- as. She was preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers and four sis- ters. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 301 33rd St., Ogden, with the Rev. Charles Petty officiating. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Cedartown, Ga., and had attended True Vine Baptist Church in Layton. Surviving are her husband of Clin- ton; one daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Betina Renee) Harris, Bentwaters, England; one grandchild; two sisters, Nina Diane Langston, Cedartown, Ga., and Norma Lynda Manley, San Anto- - nio, Texas.
