Show _ PAGE THE 2 WEDNESDAY, HIGHLANDER Stop That Litter Ed torials... COMPUTOR REPORT The problem of litter around the school has been improving since the return from Christmas vacation. It is still a serious problem, however, and should be cut down even more. Most of our school’s litter CARDS Where’s our report cards?” This is a question often asked by a majority of students at Ben Lomond. Well, we of the Highlander would like to set your minds at ease. The new computor report cards will arrive “sometime in the near future.” These new replacements for the human mind (computors) will undoubtedly save time, money and effort. Dear would not exist if everyone at Ben Lomond had_= enough pride in their school to keep it clean. There are waste paper containers spaced _. closely throughout the school and it is just as easy to throw candy wrappers in them as it is on the floor. Many schools have this same problem. Some have stopped selling candy from snack bars. Others have a detail of sluffers to clean up the area each day after school. In most of the cases, however, this type of action is not the answer. For example, at Ogden High they don’t have a snack bar and the litter problem hasn’t improved over last year. Perhaps the majority of those who are responsible for the litter are not reading this paper. It should be as much their responsibility as yours to clean it up. But since they don’t care, have our numbers stamped on our in prisons. can look forward to an exciting year classes for next year will be schedand you may get your grades for this year.
