Listed below are the areas of WSUSA: Legislative Branch There are 19 student senators who meet every Monday at 1:30 pm. Senate meetings are held to pass legislation dealing with campus issues. Senators meet with their area councils on a regular basis to discuss the issues that will be brought to the senate meeting. Senators represent the academic colleges and special constituencies. Judicial Branch The Judicial Branch of WSUSA is known as the Student Advocate Council. All judicial power is vested in the Supreme Court of WSUSA. The Supreme Court has the power to interpret the WSUSA Constitution upon petition, to determine the constitutionality of all legislation passed by the WSUSA Senate upon petition, and to perform any other judicial functions. Executive Branch The Executive Branch of Government has the specific power to execute the key programs and services in accordance with their respective duties and responsibilities. The Executive Branch is made up of the president, six vice-presidents and appointed cabinet and chair positions.O Committee Involvement • 82 Elected, appointed and selected positions. Always room for more! • Student representatives serve on a variety of campus and adminis trative committees including the Board of Trustees, Faculty Senate and the Dean's Council. • Students are heavily involved in the Student Fee Recommenda tion Committee. • Opportunities for every interest.
