A course concerned with the study and practice of the fundamentals of public speaking. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. . T. Allred, Kelly 3. Extempore. A course devoted to the study and application of the principal forms of public address, with direct emphasis on the extemporaneous methods. Assigned work prepares students for public appearances and for contests. Three quarter hours. Autumn. T. Allred 5. Interpretation. A course in which the principles of oral interpretation for entertainment purposes or for personal satisfaction are emphasized. Five quarter hours. Autumn, Winter, Spring. T. Allred 6. Speech for the Prospective Teacher. Training in the various aspects of speech deemed most helpful to the classroom teacher. Designed for majors in the field of Education. Three quarter hours. Autumn. A course designed to give the student immediate help with a view to speech-making before the public, and with a view to various phases of entertainment as related to speech activity. A course devoted to the practical aspects of speech making, composition, and delivery of reports; and to organized group discussions on subjects of timely consequence in the field of engineering.
