Show The Pioneer Post Volume III Issue 5 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter May 2001 1195 West 400 North, MSC, UT 84404 (627-1919, Fax 627-1880) Mayor's message As summer quickly approaches, I want to mention a few things that we all can expect to see over the next few months. Residents along 1900 and 2000 West near 12th Street should prepare for road construction. UDOT has notified the city that it intends to widen 1900 West to five lanes from the Weber River over the 12th Street overpass. I anticipate that this construction will create considerable traffic delays, so be cautious when driving in this area. This summer will likely be long and extremely hot. na Vista Water District has asked the city to discourage residents from watering lawns between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.. If everyone were to follow this conservation policy, we would save as much as 15% of our culinary water supply from waste. Our Founder's Day Celebration will be held on July 3rd and 4th. The event will be similar to last year with food, games, and a parade on July 4th. However, this year there will also be dinner and music on July 3rd. Specifics will come next month. I wish each of you a safe and enjoyable summer. Sincerely, Mayor Marriotf - Slaterville Parks and Recreation 2001 Summer Program There will be many exciting tennis events this summer and into the fall.
