For a final agenda contact the City Office. 627-1919._ LOCAL UPDATES ? Elections. Elections will be held November 6, 2001, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. Only three residents filed, all are incumbents. Keith Butler filed for Mayor. Kim Slater filed for Council District West, and Delbert Hodson for Council District East. Leadership Training October 24th. Ethics and leadership training at city office on October 24, 2001, at 6:00 pm, any interested resident may attend, and all officials should attend. The meeting may be followed by a Planning Commission meeting, however, no agenda is made for that meeting upon printing of this newsletter. Qwest 'City Tax'. Several residents have inquired about a phone bill charge item called "city tax" because the city has not levied additional taxes on phone service. After contacting Chris Blake at Qwest (801 -237-3905) and the tax commission, the city was reassured that this item is the standard sales and use tax charge applied on all utilities in every city or every county in the state.
