Ordinance 2001-2 adding section 13.26.095 to supplemental provisions, amending the maximum number of animals and fowl for family food production, kennel limitations, and other related provisions. Business Park Approved. The Planning Commission recommend final approval of a new business park development requested by KBC Leasing at 1200 West and 1700 South. The matter will now go to the Mayor and Council for their consideration. New Chair. Gerald Bischoff was elected for the remainder of 2001 as the Chair of the Planning Commission. ? Commercial Zoning Change. The City Council approved a commercial zoning request by Frank Blair. About 20 acres were rezoned on 1200 West and 400 North to Commercial-2P, and approximately 30 acres on 400 North by I-15 to Commercial-3P. ? Parks Committee Organized. The Parks and Recreation Department formed a Parks Committee consisting of local residents to direct the planning and improvement of parks operated by the community. We appreciate those who volunteer on this committee. ? The Mayor's Ducks. In a media-style duck-tail, Channel 2 News interviewed Mayor Butler about his plastic lawn duck. Occasionally, the duck will disappear and the Mayor will get pictures and post-cards from the duck in various places across the nation. The extravagant travels and sometimes sordid affairs of the duck have gained local fame. The most recent travel of the duck took it to Las Vegas. Fortunately, the lucky duck always returns home safely. ? July 4th Parade! To aid in planning the parade and assigning placement numbers, anyone interested in participating in the July 4th Parade should fill out the application below and return it to the city office.
