Show Marriott-Slaterville History February 2007 Residents were invited by mail appeals, to become honorary members of the Utah Sheriff's Association by donating to that organization. Donations are used to support effective law enforcement, to help protect people and their property. The funds are used for training, resources, and legislative support. AARP offered a driving class for people ages 55 and older at the community senior center on February 7 and 8, from noon to 4 p.m. each day. Many automobile insurance companies offer a discount for taking the 8 hour class, which costs $10.00. About 20 people attended the classes and "graduated." Cardiovascular disease was the focus of IHC McKay-Dee Hospital Senior Health Connection for February. It is National Heart Month and seniors received advice at the monthly visit. Regular physical exercise is very important. They were invited to track the minutes of physical activity during the month and record them on a provided form. Bits and Pieces Kerric Judd Erwin, son of Darren and Angela Erwin, was born February 7, 2007. Samuel Sosa, son of Hector and Teresa Sosa, was born February 8, 2007. Logan George, Dallin Holley, Aaron Hunsaker, Tristan Anderson, Kadee Christoffersen, Kirsten Kidd, Zack Spencer, Kaleigh Wayment, Dillion Brown, Breckin Lassen, Susanne Savage, Jonathan Spencer and Samantha (Sammy) Williams were on the Wahlquist Jr. High School Honor Roll for the past term. |
