Show Marriott-Slaterville History September 2007 The Les Olsen Company is moving to Marriott-Slaterville on 12th Street. Councilman Scott Van Leeuwen said the new Weber County Fire Station on 1900 West is nearly complete, and an open house will be held in October. Councilman Delbert Hodson asked if Ogden Mayor Matthew Godfrey is voting on the Legacy Highway placement, even though it is not in his city. Mayor Butler said Mayor Godfrey does have input on this with WACOG. Mr. Hodson also questioned the power pole left by the developer in the asphalt at the intersection of Quail Meadows and 1200 West. Mr. Ken Martin, has made several calls to Mr. Holman, about getting the pole removed. In answer to Mr. Hodson's concern about semi-trucks traveling on 1200 West, Mayor Butter advised he had a meeting with Captain Anderson of the Sheriff's Department. Every deputy has been notified that they are to write tickets to every semi that is seen on 1200 West. Mr. Smout commended Mr. Martin as he has heard from several people in the new subdivisions that Mr. Martin has been wonderful to work with. Bits and Pieces Slade Jay Parker, son of Dustin and Camille Parker, was born on September 5, 2007. LeRoy Mitchell, age 89, died on September 6, 2007. Ezrah James Brandley, son of Adam and Daylynn Brandley was born on September 13, 2007. Ruth Carver DeVries died September 23, 2007, at the age of 85. Cody Nathan Arnell, son of Nathan and Michelle Arnell, was born September 28, 2007. Diana Thorstead won Best of Show for some of her paintings at the Utah State Fair this year. |
