No charge for this event. Time: 7:00 p.m. Bring: chairs, blankets, and snacks. July 2nd (Monday) - Ninth Annual Golf Tournament. Tee times available between: 4:00-6:30 p.m. Place: Ben Lomond Golf Course. Cost: $15 (includes green fees). Register: Danny Brown 731-4746. July 3rd (Tuesday) - Little Miss Firecracker Pageant Place: Marriott Park - Time: 6:30 p.m. Contact Lori Jones at 710-4237 to volunteer as a pageant hostess or for more information. Open to Marriott-Slaterville residents only. July 4th (Wednesday) - Baby Contest For babies under 2 years old. Registration Deadline: June 9th. Entry Fee: Free Contest will be at Marriott Park. Contact Bob Hirschi at 393-1050. Breakfast. 8:00 a.m. - Marriott Park and Slaterville Park. Parade. 10:30 a.m. - 700 South on 1200 West to Marriott Park. Line-up at 10:00 a.m. - no entry fee, just show up. Lunch and activities. 11:00 a.m. - afternoon at Marriott Park. Three city council seats are open, one seat in each district and the at-large seat. The filing fee is $5. Contact Becky at the city office for more information 627-1919 ext. 202. Marriott Family Reunion. The Marriott family will have a reunion at the Marriott Hotel in Ogden on July 23. Register in advance by contacting Russ Marriott at 801-530-0000. Visit the website at www.johnmarriotths.org. Safe Senior Driver Class (age 50+). Sign-up for the "AARP Driver Safety Program" on July 7, 11, & 12 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. each day at the Senior Center located at 1570 West 400 North. This program helps seniors hone driving skills and may help discount your auto insurance. The cost is $10 per person. Upon completion you will receive a certificate that you may use for an insurance discount. To sign-up call the city office and leave message for Becky at 627-1919 ext. 202, or call Don at 782-5317. The class is limited to 35 participants. Pirates Revived in Plain City. The Plain City Community Theatre will perform "Pirates of Penzance" from August 16-18. Performers and staff are needed. Auditions are June 16th from 9:00 a.m. - noon at the Plain City Senior Center. Bring sheet music or pre-recorded accompaniment for your audition song. You will read from a script.
