The above is a selection from one of my many scrap books and expresses my sentiments and feelings. A few days ago I spent an hour or morse at the home of my dear old boyhood friend and brother,Elder J. Golden Kimball whom I term the Bill Nye of the Mormon church because of his natural wit and humor .When Golden quits this mortal shore and moseys round the earth not more the church will not be able to find another just like him. Hes naturally humorous and often in his discourses at the semi annual and annual conferences of the L.D. S. Church occasionally used some language which was more expressive than elegant to emphasize messages he wished to put over. Bless his loyal heart, however, he invariably put them over and then clinched them with some moderate selected cuss words. Since the annual conference in April 1935 his discources have lacked their natural wit,humor,originality ana force. Reader, if you were at said conference you perhaps know why this chance. James E.
