The awards began last year because too often we may be critical of others for things like zoning violations, noise, weeds or something else. However, by doing this we overlook many who are doing their best to make Marriott-Slaterville a beautiful community. During August you will have a chance to nominate someone you consider a "Good Neighbor". Feel free to nominate a resident, a family, or a business in the community that you feel is doing an outstanding job in improving the community. The Mayor will select the award recipients from the nominations. The awards will be presented at the September City Council meeting. course not all good neighbors will be recognized this year. There are many outstanding individuals and businesses which make our community a marvelous place to live. However, if there is someone you would like to nominate, this is your chance. To nominate a good neighbor, fill out the nomination form at the end of the newsletter and sent it to the city office, or simply call the city office and give your nomination.
