The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Sunday, August 7 We attend Sunday school but do not stay for fast meeting Hot day. Visit Larkins Mortuary to see remains of Margaret Wright wife of Gus Wright. She died in Los Angeles of Cancer Good woman. A dear friend of ours Monday, August 8 We attend Martha Wrights funeral at 1 p.m. Nice Nothing special except plenty I left water on in upper garden section by mistake and this morning the basement of our house was flooded We work hard to get wet things and water out Water seeped under ground and welled up and rain in window Too bad. No serious permanent dammage Tuesday, August 9 Wms birthday my oldest brother 97 years He died at 75 yrs Cooler today. Storm in Davis Co and South Cloud burst in Spanish Fork canyon We call at Dr Jrs Wednesday, August 10 I go down to sanity hearing at Court. Cash 5 bonds USE This is ex President Herbert Hoovers 75 birthday and big ovation given him at Stanford University at Palo Alto. 150,000.00 presented him for the Hoover library. He gives splendid speech on Think of the Next Generation. |
