Show WEEK SCOTS’ Ben Lomond High School VOLUME 16 OGDEN, UTAH, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY NUMBER 14 29, 1969 SCOTS’ WEEK ROARS THROUGH B. L. Pep Rallies SCOT'S Each Morning Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, pep rallies will be held in connection with the basketball game with Ogden High School. Because of the ‘“Gathering of the Clans” assembly on Friday, there will not be a pep assembly during school. Ogden defeated us, 71-68, in our first encounter. If Ben Lomond is to record a win over the Tigers on Friday, students must show more school spirit. The cheerleaders urge all Scots to attend the pep rallies. They will begin each morning at 7:50 a. m. in the main hall. WEEK Wednesday Through Saturday WEDNESDAY: The cheerleaders will sponsor a “Hat Stomp.” Decorate your hats, wear kilts and other plaid clothing and join the fun. A $5.00 gift certificate will be given to the boy and girl having the most decorated hat. Refreshments will be served. Time is 7-9 p. m. and the cost is 25 cents with decorated hat, and 50 cents without. FRIDAY: The finale of Scot’s Week will be held today. The ”Gathering of the Clans” assembly will be held during the second and third periods. The assembly will include music by the Salt Lake Scots Bagpipe Band and skits by each of the clans. It will also include the Root Beer drinking and Pie Eating contests. A wrestling meet will be held after school. THURSDAY: The Serious Assembly will be held today, omitting the third period. As of publication date, the speakers had not been chosen. Tonight the basketball team faces always-tough Ogden on our floor. The Tigers are cur| rently 43 and the Scots are _ 3-4.
