Dr. Benjamin M. Noid (Right) served as chairman of the Communications department at Weber this year. He holds an M.A. and a PH.D. from the University of Utah, his fields of emphasis in his education being in Speech, Theatre, English and Music. At Weber he has been head of the Department of Speech and Drama, Department of Speech, Department of Communications and Director of the Fine Arts Center. He is the author of various plays, books, and articles on Speech and Theatre, has held many civic positions, and was just recently appointed to serve as a Director on the Marshall White Center Board of Directors. Levi Peterson (Below Left) chairman of the English department, was born and reared in northern Arizona, received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Brigham Young University and received the Ph.D. from the University of Utah. His hobbies include woodworking, back-packing, and elaborating on the truth in lectures about Western literature. He has a wife and a daughter and is happy to live near the Wasatch. Dr. Joseph M. Dixon (Bottom Right) acted as head of the Weber State College History Department during the 1970-71 school year. Kenneth R. Adams (Right), head of the Foreign Language Department this year is especially affluent in the German language. He received his B.A. from B.Y.U. in German and Music and his M.A. from the University of Washington. Aiding him in his knowledge and experience of foreign language he was stationed at the U. S. Army Headquarters in Hudelberg, Germany in 1953-55, he studied in Bad Boll, Germany with Stanford University in 1963 and in 1965 he took a personal tour through Europe. Lawrence C. Evans (Above), Acting Chairman of the Department of Political Science, Police Science and Philosophy, has been teaching at Weber State since 1946, first in the field of English and later in Philosophy. He has a B.A. and M.A. in English, and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. His hobbies are Music, sculpturing and reading and writing fiction. Dr. Evans is also a jazz pianist in his private hours. Mrs. Leola Davidson (Left) is the chairman of the Department of Nursing on the Weber State campus. She received her B.S. in Nursing Education from the University of Utah and her M.S. in Psychiatric Nursing from the same university. She is an active member of USNA and the National League for Nursing. Dr. John H. McDonald, head of the WSC Department of Hospital Facilities Occupations received his B.S. from the University of Idaho. Dr. McDonald (Below) then went on to graduate from the L.D.S. Hospital School of Medical Technology in 1959. He received both his J.D. and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Dr. McDonald is a member of the Utah Bar Association and has published three scientific publications.
