Show Dr. Stanley E. Richards (Below) is the Chairman of the Family Life Department. His university work was taken at B.Y.U. and at the University of Utah where he was awarded the doctorate degree. Dr. Richards has taught in the adult education program of the S.L.C. Schools and in the L.D.S. Seminary system, the Utah State Prison, and extension course work for B.Y.U. and the University of Utah. He has worked as a family and marriage counselor, and has provided social and psychological services to a number of agencies and groups. Chairman of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department is Dr. Duane Mehn (Right), who was born in Wisconsin. He holds degrees from North Central College, the University of Illinois, and the University of Northern Colorado where his doctorate was awarded. Dr. Mehn's professional work has included teaching in high schools and colleges. He is a member of several professional associations and has contributed articles to several periodicals in health, physical education and recreation. SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY AND TRADE-TECHNICAL EDUCATION According to Wendell L. Esplin, Dean of the School of Technology, the school provides opportunity for students to prepare themselves in a variety of one and two year Trade and Technical programs. The graduates are awarded certificates of proficiency and certificates of completion, Associate of Applied Science, and Associate of Science degrees. The school also offers departmental majors in the following: Automotive Engineering Technology, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Pre-Engineering. All of our students are well received by industry. |
