In the first conference game of the season Montana's "Wishbone" formation caught Weber off guard. Two weeks later we met the M.S.U. Bobcats here, bent on evening our Big Sky standings. The Cat's defense stiffened and kept M.S.U. in their own territory for most of the game (Upper left). Gary Hurley's domineering character frustrates one of the Bobcat ball handlers (upper right). Mark Laughery shuttled past the Bobcat's secondary and made a diving catch in the endzone for Weber's second score of the game. An ankle injury suffered from the play benched Laughery for the remainder of the game (lower left). Our Homecoming game drizzled, with the rain, despite a 74-0 first quarter lead. Jack Brown is almost turned loose to open ground following a fine block by Polo Afuvai (lower right). It was the first Idaho State University victory over Weber since 1964. The Wildcats lost the ball on fumbles and pass interceptions seven times and four of the errors led to Bengal scores. Coach Sark looks for a solution as victory slips away (bottom center).
