Show YEOMEN BASKETBALL TEAM The basketball division of the spring intramurals began with the spring quarter. The eight teams which entered were divided into two brackets. The Yeomen, who entered two teams, proved to be the class of the series in both brackets. Yeomen A, a well balanced squad and very deserving of the championship, emerged victorious in the deciding con- test with Yeomen B. Social Science was the third-place winner. During the fall quarter a boys' intramural basketball tournament was conducted. Any group of eight or more players was permitted to participate, and entering teams were divided into two brackets. The winners of the two brackets, the Devils and the International Relations Club, met for the championship. In this contest the Devils were victorious by the small margin of 21 to 20. Third and fourth places went to the Yeomen and the Faculty respectively. DEVILS' BASKETBALL TEAM FACULTY HANDBALL TEAM The handball tournament proved the old saying that practice makes perfect when the Faculty, who have handball as their favorite recreation, won over a select field by defeating the Yeomen, opponents in the finals, in two games out of three. In the art of foul pitching the Faculty proved to be vastly superior to the other intramural teams. Out of a possible one hundred, they hit the hoop for sixty-eight baskets, exceeding by fourteen baskets their nearest rival, Business. FACULTY FOUL PITCHING TEAM |
