In the opening pages of this book the staff has reproduced the familiar scenes about the campus. The administration section will remind each one of the administrators of the school and of the wise guidance they have given it. In the class section the staff has published pictures of more than seventy- five per cent of the students. In the athletic section are portrayed all the participants who represented Weber in competition during the year, and a few of the scenes which the spectators witnessed. In the intramural section are published pictures of every activity of the intramurals, which will recall the contests watched or participated in. The cultural arts and forensics sections will bring to mind the publications, the dramas, the musicals, the debates, and the speeches which were presented during the year. The society and club sections tell of pleasant dances, parties, and socials. In the major group section each will be able to pick out his classmates and future rivals for a job. Finally, in the snap section are humor and oddities that relieved the labor of classwork. ACORN BUSINESS STAFF Dix Jones Adviser Darrell Ellis Circulation George Matsu Business Manager Dorathea Monahan Advertising Thomas McKay Assistant Business Manager Mark Child Circulation James Lazenby Advertising Jean Richards Advertising Realizing that the efficiency of the business staff is an essential factor in the publication of an outstanding yearbook, the business staff of the Acorn has persistently worked to cooperate with the editorial department in making possible the publication of a yearbook that would equal the quality of any that has been put out by Weber College. To afford greater opportunities for willing students to participate in this activity of the college, the business staff of the Acorn was enlarged to include the circulation and advertising departments. And much of the credit for the efficiency of the business staff must go to these students, who offered their unreserved services as salesmen and as solicitors of patronage. |
