Show OWEN F. BEAL ''He is wise who knows the sources of knowledge-who knows who has writ- ten and where it is to be found." - Hodge. Our principal, who has worked unceasingly for the betterment of our school. We wish him unbounded success with his studies at Columbia next year. EVA CRAGUN One who, by her comradship, is achieving great success in teaching the girls to be useful wives. WILFORD 0. RIDGES "The most agreeable of all companions-a simple, frank man without any pretensions to an oppressive greatness; one who loves life, and understands the use of it; obliging alike at all hours; above all, of a golden temper and steadfast as an anchor."-Lessing. C. J. JENSEN ''He is a friend, who, in dubious cir- cumstances, aids in deeds when deeds are necessary."-Plautus. IDA A. SHURTLIFF "Her heart is in her work, and the heart giveth grace unto every art."- Longfellow. EDWARD M. REID "Gravity is the ballast of the soul, which keeps the mind steady."?-- Fuller. BLANCHE K. MCKEY "From her on flows." MALCOLM WATSON 'A man he seems of cheerful yester- days and confident tomorrows."-Wordsworth. The one who made the state championship an accomplished fact. WILLIAM Z. TERRY Friend, counselor, and instructor; the man who showed us our mistakes and how to rectify them in a manner that all the students liked. We only partly appreciated the value of our work under him while he was here, and how we do miss him now! He left to show the government how to apply mathematics to artillery. LYDIA TANNER "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach," but everybody loves Mrs. Tanner for many other reasons. |
