Show IDA SCOWCROFT STANLEY RHEES WILLIAM KASIUS Vice President President Secretary-Treasurer Juniors CLASS '20 ARRIVED AT WEBER with a crash, astounding the entire student body with its wide-awake ideas. The influenza epidemic breaking into our school year did not break into our glorious plans. On two occasions we yielded to the "call of the wild" and traveled far into the mountains. The girls furnished the "eats"-the boys the appetites. Next came the Junior carnival which was a real success. The decorations and beautiful color schemes were due to the artistic ability of the boys and girls of our class. When the school play, "Mice and Men," was announced, the Juniors were ready with talent, as some of the most difficult roles were played by members of our class. The best Junior prom ever given by Weber was held at the Berthana on April 18, 1919. About three hundred were present-Juniors, Seniors, and select guests. Dancing was enjoyed to the strains of Miss Thatcher's orchestra. "The most successful prom ever held" was the opinion of everyone who attended. Class '20 has had an ideal year at Weber. Under the leadership of Stanley Rhees and Ida Scowcroft we have gained the confidence of our fellow workers and of the faculty. Next year in the exalted position of Seniors the members of our class will hold student body offices and will be even more loyal to Weber. To our class adviser, Professor Blaylock, we owe our advancement, and we thank him for his true support. We gained a reputation and have accomplished a great deal with his help. Class '20 will lead Weber next year, since every member stands for Weber's ideals, therefore-a bigger and better Weber Normal College in 1919-1920. |
