Budget 3: Assignments are made of postal regulations, methods of handling incoming and outgoing mail, transportation of goods, and transferring correspondence. Budget 4: Assignments are made and discussions are conducted on banking and financial duties, billing and invoicing, forms for business and legal instruments, and arranging statistical matter. Budget 6 and 7: A course in filing is given, presenting the leading systems by means of lectures, by extensive practice on the filing equipment of the laboratory, and by frequent tests. The purpose of this course is to prepare the future secretary to operate efficiently the various machines and appliances found in business offices. A thorough and detailed training is given in the use and operation of the following equipment: Dictaphone, Multigraph, Mimeograph, Mimeoscope, Duplicator, Multigraph-Duplicator (type setters), Varieo-type Machine, Check Writers, Telephone Switchboard, Addressograph, Letter Opener, and Adding Machine. Posting Machines. Instruction and practice in the operation of Bur roughs, Remington, and other posting machines. Bookkeeping procedure in banks and commercial offices will be stressed. A thorough review of the fundamentals of mathematics with special emphasis upon Commercial Arithmetic and its application to the phases of business practice. This s a terminal course.
