The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. Two years of specialized training is offered. AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR This course in Automotive Service and Repair aims to provide the training required to develop a competent automobile repair man. The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. Two years of specialized training is offered. AUTO BODY The course in Auto Body is designed to provide adequate training and experience in auto body, fender, and paint work. This is a one-year course. The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. CARPENTRY AND CABINET MAKING This course is planned to prepare young men to become carpenters and mill workers. Graduates of the course are qualified to enter the field of employment on an advanced apprenticeship level. The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. Two years of specialized training is offered. MACHINE SHOP This course provides for the thorough training required of a competent machinist. Students graduating will enter the trade on an advanced apprenticeship level. The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. Two years of specialized training are offered. WELDING The course is designed to qualify men as oxy-acetylene and electric arc welders. They may become proficient in the trade as soon as possible, and may take as many weeks training as may be necessary to meet their needs. The student is required to spend four hours a day or twenty hours a week in Shop Practice and two hours a day or ten hours a week in both Trade Technical and Trade Related subjects. |
