Show Non-Traditional Credit e. A student may earn a maximum of fifteen hours of credit in one subject area at a single sitting. The examination sitting may not be for more than three courses in that subject. The fee for a single sitting is $15.00 All special examinations will be graded on a Credit/No-Credit basis. f. There is no limit on the amount of credit that can be earned by Special Examination. 4. Extension or Correspondence CreditWeber State College may accept 45 hours of extension or correspondence credit toward graduation. Transfer of extension or correspondence credit from other accredited institutions may be accepted as determined by departments. 5. Military Training CreditStudents having completed 24 or more months of active military service are granted a maximum of 13 credit hours towards graduation. These credits are granted in the following areas: 3 credit hours in Physical Education, 2 in Health Education, and 8 as electives. Other military credit is granted for some service schools if specified requirements are met. For further information inquire at the Graduation Office. Students who have completed four years or more in either the National Guard or a Reserve unit qualify for 3 credit hours of Physical Education. HOW TO COMPLETE A BACHELORS DEGREE IN THREE YEARS The baccalaureate degree may be obtained in three years or less by satisfying degree requirements in any of the following ways or by a combination of the following: 1. Examinations: CLEP; Advanced Placement Program; Special Examinations; 2. Weber State CollegeHigh School Summer Program for Juniors 3. Weber State CollegeHigh School Senior Enrichment Program 4. Attendance during summer sessions as well as the regular school year 5. Fifteen credit hours is an average quarterly load. However, some students may find that they can carry more. Up to twenty credit hours may be carried without special permission. 6. Credit given for approved educational experience other than that acquired through an accredited institution of higher education: Military, Police Academy, Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy, Federal Aviation Administration, Emergency Medical Technician certification.
