Show WINTER CARNIVAL The Winter Carnival, held at Huntsville, was a splendid turn-out. Pre- Medics were the winners by a slim margin despite the fact that they did not place first in a single event. The ski race was won by the Engineers; Pre- Medics came second. Only two teams, Phoenix and Faculty, entered the toboggan race. After a close race, the Faculty was the victor. Music captured the ski jump; Pre-Medics placed second. ARCHERY TENNIS TENNIS The tennis tournament was conducted in seven rounds. Each team played all the others. The seven teams of seven men to a team responded well to the first spring sport; the event was popular. The closing events on the intramural program, which were held during the latter part of the spring quarter, were softball, archery, and horeshoes. Archery was added to the program with the condition that enough students take an active interest to justify the event. Horseshoes and softball were on schedule when the yearbook went to press.
